FRx 6.7 – Specification Set Locked

FRx 6.7 – Specification Set Locked

Sometimes it happens that FRx specification set file (.f32) get locked due to sharing violation. If this file is locked there are few ways

1- Compact FRx Database

a. FRx Current Spec Set Database ( File >> Compact FRx Database >> FRx Current Spec Set Database )

b. FRx system database ( File >> Compact FRx Database >> FRx System Database )

But unfortunately, some time it does not work to unlock this file. Here is the solution that can easily unlock this file

Browse FRx SysData folder and locate “frxrpts.f32” and copy it some other place and rename it to “frxrpts.MDB” (yup - it is really an mdb in disguise) and when you open it it will ask for a password, enter the following password “aCcelr8cln4u”.

Here we go save the file, rename the file back to the .f32 extension and place it back to the SysData location. Now it works.

Using this procedure you can also manage the FRx Catalogs (printing, export etc).

I hope this post is helpful.

Happy Reporting . . . . .
